About Babington House wedding venue
This stunning wedding venue is situated in the heart of Somerset surrounded by 18 acres of beautiful rural countryside. The Grade II listed manor house was built way back in 1705. The building dates back from medieval times and the name comes from a family who once lived in the village.
In 1998 the Soho Group took over the manor house and created the first Cowshed Spa in the grounds of Babington House. Extracts from Babington’s walled gardens are also used in the spa treatments. It is now a private members club, spa and wedding venue and has hosted many famous weddings from Fatboy Slim & Zoe Ball to Amanda Holden & Chris Hughes.
The stunning Georgian architecture provides the perfect backdrop for any wedding photographer. It is such a beautiful wedding venue, you can see why it’s so popular.
The house can accommodate up to 120 guests which is ideal for your immediate family and close friends. It’s great to be able to keep everyone together in one place. There are 33 bedrooms spread out through the main house, stable block, coach house and the walled garden. The bedrooms ooze luxury, with traditional hand-painted wallpapers, oak four poster beds and velvet sofas!
There are also plenty of options for food, which has a mediterranean influence and contains produce from the garden. You have the Orangery which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner from 7am until late. The bar and terrace where in the summer you can enjoy your food outside, and also the Cowshed deli which serves a range of food and drinks.
