Micro Wedding Photographer
2020 has been a funny old year to say the least. Whilst the majority of weddings have been moved to 2021, I have had a few smaller wedding shoots and I’ve really loved being a micro wedding photographer.
These smaller, more intimate celebrations have been really amazing and so emotional. No, they don’t have the party, but this can come next year! The most important thing is the two of you showing your love for each other and becoming husband and wife.
What is a Micro Wedding?
A ‘Micro Wedding’ is the term for weddings that work within the current Covid-19 government restrictions. This is currently set at 15 people max (which may change in the coming months).
This means you can invite 15 people that mean the most to you to celebrate your wedding ceremony, and that number doesn’t need to include staff or suppliers.
These weddings are very similar to elopements, an if you are thinking of eloping then please get in touch, I’d love to join you!
Why have a micro wedding?
I’m sure the day you had planned was probably going to be a big, epic party but, a more intimate wedding can be just as epic. Plus you can have the party when restrictions have been eased, so you get a double celebration!
If you can’t wait to be husband and wife then a micro wedding is perfect for you. It gives you the legal ceremony of being married now, and time for a bigger celebration later.
More relaxed
Micro weddings can be a lot more relaxed as you only need to focus on 15 guests as opposed to 80-100+. They’re a lot less stressful and more cost effective too, although you don’t have to comprise on style, you can still go all out!
If as a couple you hate being the centre of attention, then this more intimate ceremony could be perfect for you.
Spend more time with guests
With larger weddings it can be really hard to find time to speak to everyone. Smaller weddings will allow you to interact with your guests a lot more and have deeper conversations. Your guests will also feel honoured to be included in the smaller number.
What are the downsides to have a micro wedding?
Clearly the biggest downside is not having all of your loved ones there with you.
You’ll have to make some tough decisions to get your numbers down and you’ll need to be prepared for a few disappointed faces. But honestly, everyone will understand – and you can soften the blow by throwing a bigger celebration when you’re able.

For micro wedding celebrations I’m offering a few compact photography packages that will perfectly capture the ceremony and drinks reception.
2 hours – £700
3 hours – £900
4 hours – £1200
Additional hours can be added for £250 per hour. All your edited images are included via an online gallery where you can download and print as you wish.
